International Matches | 7th Sept '23 - 13th Sept '23

Good game by Julián except for a couple of bad first touches that might have cost him to get into the score sheet. He really needs to clean that up. I don't recall him having so many bad controls while in River. I expect Pep to iron that out.
Here's one his blown chances ... the earlier one was even closer in ... blew 2 golden chances. Always a battler tho.

I'm no big fan of De Paul or Di Maria, but those 2 guys were immense for Arg today in those conditions.

Haaland, Alvarez, Doku, Akanji, Rodri and the 3 English lads all starting tonight.

Alvarez has the hardest assignment playing at altitude in Bolivia.
Haaland: 1 goal, win. No reported injury.

Doku: 1 assist, clean sheet, win. No reported injury.

Akanji: Clean sheet, win. No reported injury:

Rodri: 1 assist, clean sheet, win, and ran the show for Spain again. No reported injury.

Alvarez: Clean sheet, win. No reported injury.

That's the one I'm talking about. The other I don't consider a blown chance. He did well to hit the post from a close angle.

nah, it was a diff chance than the shot that hit the post, ball hopped over his foot just before the 1st half ended
Oh, you mean the Enzo pass? I think that was due to the awful state of the pitch.

Lucky bastards ;)

Romero picked up a knock on international duty. Hopefully nothing serious.

The downsides of international football!!
