International Matches | 7th Sept '23 - 13th Sept '23

Haha, I just nodded off for this game featuring one of my nations… so probably not.
yeah sorry i missed “our” in one of your posts. smart move either way, it will probably be pain and suffering, business as usual :D

Georgia 1 - 6 Spain

Nico Williams does it all himself, dancing through the Georgian back line like an especially ambitious understudy the day Michael Flatly comes down with the flu, driving a low shot through the keeper’s legs for Spain’s sixth, as the Georgian heads fall.

Pretty uninspiring bunch of games this evening. I guess it'll be the Slovakia vs Portugal game (Cyprus vs Scotland doesn't really get the blood pumping, to be honest). And I'm not watching the egg chasers.

Rodri off (tactical sub) after another 9 out of 10 display running the show for Spain.

Very happy he has been taken off as the heavens have opened and the pitch is becoming a bog.

Youngest player and goal scorer for Spain. Barca shouldn’t overplay Yamal. Not a medic but that may have been the reason for Fati’s downfall, too much and too soon.

Georgia 1 - 7 Spain

It’s seventh heaven for Spain’s youngest ever player to feature for the nation, also becoming the youngest ever goal scorer for Spain, as Yamal meets a desperate clearance on the edge of the Georgian box with a one time curler in to the top left corner. A day he’ll never forget!

Somehow I think they won’t have learned their lesson, unfortunately. Yamal should come to City, where we know how to bed in youth to become super stars. ;-)

i often read comments like this from english football fans, along with disliking international games because of possible injuries. is this line of thinking prevalent in england?

in croatia even people who usually don’t watch football watch national team games. players consider a call up a privilege and honor. luka modrić will be 38 tomorrow and he will step on that pitch tonight and do his best for his country, that jersey is sacred to him as he once said.
There is a direct correlation between how good your football team is and how much you dislike international football.

Seeing the same problems with Pedri. It’s great he’s great at a young age but he’s suffered quite a number of injuries.

He’s the kind of CM I like watching and it’ll be a shame if they wreck him as well.

Imagine leading with 5 goals and still having rodri on the pitch , give they guy a rest man
