Great couple of days ,enjoyed the freindliness with the Bayern fans in the bars. One of them admitting "Yes for sure we are the Manchester United of Germany ,people here love or hate us" a good insight.
2 days was enough time for me.
hope the lad lay on the floor on the 15-45 Luthansa flight back to M/cr yesterday recovered ok, didnt look too good before the flight

I still do not really know what the comparison with Manchester United is. If than ManU is a copy of Bayern - and not vice versa... (But I imagine what some could mean with it. The situation Bayern has in Germany in the last decades probably is similar to that in England - but Bayern has its special own identity with a lot sides that are really great - if somebody wants to see them. There is for sure people that do not want to see them.)

That Bayern is loved or hated - yes, it just is like this. But that is pretty normal and comes with the success. The little underdog without influence is seldom hated.

It means you are followed by hordes of glory hunters with no connection to the team or the city. I was talking to three plastics on the train to the Allianz, they asked me if Dzeko was playing, when I asked them why would they want to know that I got "We are from Wolfsburg". It's the same with united, they have 'fans' all over the UK and the world.

in reply to the last sentence, everybody hates Millwall FC.

The bottom tier behind the dug out stood up and applauded Edin Dzeko when he went off

we all love fernandinho!!

was singing that on our plane on the way back.

was a quality trip, was any one in that bar on the monday night where there was a conga and people jumping on tables haha.

Augustiner on Marienplatz? If so, yep, me, Danamy, Ric, de niro, Rascal, andyhinch, Toby, hgblue, gordondaviesmoustache among MANY other bm'ers.

Thinking again, may have been the day of the game the conga we saw, I'm sure you understand when I say it is all a bit fuzzy !

One of the hardest drinking tours ever. Shuddder to think how bad I'd be if it was a stag doo. Wait, if it was my stag doo. Landed Sunday at lunch and got on it. Ended up in the Irish Bar behind the big church (is that Ned Kelly's) singing Mrs. Robinson on kareoke, but changing it to Kompany. Did the same for Hey Jude and Yaya.

Couldn't see the end of my nose when I walked out there. Getting heart burn again writing this. As I walked on to the street I was looking at buildings thinking "this isn't Manchester....I've never been out here before".

Second day in that Augustiener on the main Marienplatz street was heaving. Think we sang every City song ever writter. Uwe's Grandad dominated the day.

What not to do on the day of the game after two days boozing as above, is get the train on your own to a concentration camp. Jesus H. That was an experience.

Climbing those stairs in the Allianz though; worse than Newcastle. And who got robbed with an "Allianz Card". Scheming tw@s.

We got in bed at 2 after the game and up at 4 for the Singapore Airlines flight. My God, I was dying, dying, dead.

Met some great Blues though - but not sure if I want to go back to Germany any time soon after the way I felt last year and this. Sleep and vitamins for a week.
