Not knocking it,it will be a great phone as is the 4S but its had its time at the top and now its time to step aside. I wonder if you have actually tried the WP which you so easily dismiss? When the 920 comes out check it out and come back to me. I think you`ll change your mind.

Nowt wrong with your pics. Your a good looking, upwardly mobile fella. One of my favourite posters. Some people just have iphone/BMW/SKY World written all over them.
Haha.

Whilst I do have an iPhone (4) and will no doubt be getting the 5 (for the same reason I have the 4, my firm has a number of apple only apps for the phone and pad which are customer facing and means I can recall all their investments and the like at a glance and built portfolios etc).

I simply come on these threads as they are usually a lot of fun because some people really truely hate apple (skashion being one). So I tend to ham it up a little bit.
I've made Mrs P aware that I want a new iPad, and there will be consequences if I don't get one. As for the phones though, not for me. if you need one like you do, fair enough, but in my experience alot of people get one 'because it's an iPhone', rather than actually looking at whether it's any good or not. I'm a fan of HTC, not 'because it's a HTC', but because they are simply quite brilliant at what they do. Looking at getting the One X next.

Mine and Mrs phones are coming up for renewal. I really really like the HTC phones however people with iphone say it's just a cheap iphone!!

Having had a nokia all my life it is going to be either Apple iphone 5,HTC or Samsung

They will say that mate, as they're sticking up for what they have. All I can tell you is I got the Sensation XL in Feb as a replacement to the Desire HD. A couple I know had recently bought the iPhone 4 and with him being a bit of a tech head, he wanted a look at my phone. He was sorry he had gone for the iPhone afterwards. The way I see it is the iPhone is the 'must have' just because of the brand, almost chavvy in a way like kids 'must have' Nike trainers and they 'must' cost shit loads. HTC's slogan is 'quietly brilliant', and it ain't lying either.

But you would say that mate, you're sticking up for what you have. ;)

The core competancies that the majority of mobile phone users require will be met by all models, therefore test them all and buy whichever you prefer using and fuck what anyone else says.

Bingo!

Point was though that you don't really hear people saying 'I need that new HTC', or people wanking silly over a video of it booting up. People do that with the iPhones because of the brand name, and they fall into the trap of having to have it then.

You could argue that's because HTC et al don't put as much resource into areas such as desirability or userbility. I've no idea if that's correct, but Apple certainly haven't hoodwinked anyone into buying their products.

Although i think their launch marketing campaigns are becoming transparent; certain products they can make a song and dance about (first iphone, first ipad). But it seems additional feature becomes 'ground-breaking' when it's put into an Apple product.

So the iPhone is chavvy and the guy was comparing a soon to be 3rd generation phone to a new one?

Makes perfect sense. Just admit you can't afford the beautiful iPhone lifestyle. It's no big deal fella.

-- Fri Sep 07, 2012 11:58 am --

People don't need the new HTC as it's not as good as an iPhone or marry up to their existing apps or iTunes account.

Also, who has wanked over the video of it booting up? There were two comments about that video, neither were masterbatory.

Oh mate, you keep on throwing the money thing into it don't you? We know you're a well off guy and good luck with that, but at the end of the day they all cost the same per month. For what I pay for my Sensation and soon to be One X, I could get the iPhone for the same if not cheaper. They're simply not that good though so I choose to go with HTC, which are.
Chill!

I'm just retorting when you keep saying they are an inferior product. Which they aren't. And others keep saying that they are expensive for what they are and are not value for money.

I have the 4S but i wish i had gone for the Galaxy S3. Its so far in advance of iPhone its crazy.
