I have been given an iphone 5 but it is locked on O2 and I use Vodafone. I have tried O2 but they won't unlock it yet. Anybody know of any other avenues I can go down?

Nope..you cant unlock these without a code from the network provider and connecting to iTunes.

how about taking out an O2 contract?

Want to use it with my work SIM. The phones we get given from work are crap so when the missus got her upgrade I had it. Not a problem, I will just have to wait until they will unlock it as I don't want to carry two phones around, especially as the work one is free

Worst phone I have ever had (for calls, signal, texts etc), but best gadget

Was going to upgrade to a iphone5, but might got down the android route. Like the look of the new sony experia z
