v PSG
Our best 11 is probably-

Ortega
Akanji
Dias
Ake
Gvardiol

KDB
Kovacic
Foden

Savinho
Haaland
Silva

v IPSWICH
We need to rotate 4 or 5 v Ipswich, but we also NEED the 3 points badly. It doesn't feel good this team, someone help !

Ederson
Nunes
Dias (risk !) *
Ake
Gvardiol

McAtee
Kovacic *
Foden *

Doku
Haaland *
Grealish

* ideally substituted on 70ish mins, so only Ake and Gvardiol play 90mims at Ipswich and PSG
A midfield of
K.D
Kova
Phil
frightens me to death.

Basically it’s all about the result today and probably the next two months. Can’t give a rats arse if we don’t play well, are lucky or whatever. These dips mostly in the 2nd half or last 15 min need to vanish. And we need to try and get back to pressuring opponents like when we were the shark-team. If we drop back we look way too vulnerable anyways.
Win and recent results might look like we are on a decent run. And hopefully gives us the much needed confidence for the games vs PSG and Chelsea.
Not confident but hey, I’ve eaten my words shit loads of time and seen way much more drama at City. 3 points for starters.

This isn't over, it took pool 93 mins to beat Brentford.
When we get the new players in we will go on a run, and start winding the scousers in, we have won this title being 8 points back before remember? Come on City!

We're 15 behind and struggling to see games out without falling apart with an ageing/depleted squad.

Sadly the league is gone but let's have a strong end, secure top 4 and back on top next season

8 points back ???

Try 15 points back !!!! :0(

Let’s get Top 4 this year :0)

The big ear trophy would be nice, but unlikely!!!

FA Cup, a bigger possibility ? :0)

The Boys in Blue never give in. They fight to the end. Come on City, come on City. Show ‘em lads, show ‘em all. Especially those tractor boys, we are better than them.
Especially the know nowt alleged media who wouldn’t know a football from a golf ball they are so thick.
Especially the Specsavers needing whistleblowing, flapdoodle, foozlers, who forget who we are. Don’t they know we are: MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. One day they will remember. :-) ;-)

Got a busy day today, so I’m posting early. Have a great day.

I’m beginning to detect a subtle pattern to these posts @Eccles Blue.

I expect City to win based on improved recent performances. This would be my team but I expect KDB will start in midfield. I wonder if Bobb may make the bench. Perhaps he needs another weeks training but PSG is the big game ahead and we might want to get some minutes into Bobb. Probably it is too soon for him.

----------Ortega
Rico-Akanji-Dias-Gvardiol
----------Kovacic
---Bernardo--Foden
Doku-Haaland-Savinho

significant drift in City's odds at Betfair this morning-perhaps signifies one eye on PSG-but implied win probability gone from circa 77% down to 66%.

3 points crucial before the hard run of matches in February. Newcastle & Villa both dropping points yesterday means a win today puts us right back into the mix, not that we're not in it at the moment. I watched Ipswich v BHA midweek & they were pretty poor and looked devoid of inspiration upfront so let's not give them any silly goals or concede a pen by allowing diving Delap to throw himself about in the box.
Got to be focussed for 90+ minutes. Hate to say it but look at Liverpool yesterday, scoring twice in injury time whilst we conceded two in the last 10 at the same ground a few days earlier...that's how titles are won and lost. Don't want to see any of that crap today.
Phil Football looks to be getting more involved these days, once he starts pinging them in from 20 yards again it will be happy days.
Drop Akanji if Dias is fit to start, get somebody in who can actually jump at the back.
3-1 City with their goal being an iffy pen.
