Iran Attack on Israel

No not bored. Just been around a lot and I totally disagree with the good guy bad guy narrative you and others in here spout.
The US, Britain, France and other Western states have over the past 100 years been involved in some appalling military adventures. Many parts of the world do not see us in a favourable light due to this.
This is not too say that China, Russia, Iran and many other countries are not bad actors either.
It's not a black and white world. It's much more complicated.
The world is certainly not black and white, but we know who the good guys and bad guys are, right? The idea of any kind of equivalency is false, at best.

:) Don't want to get caught up in petty personal disagreements.

But he is right in what he said about the vast majority of countries not designating Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organisations, many western allies included as well as some of the more obvious western "enemies". You can't criticise him for saying that, even if it does include China and Russia.

It's like saying Hitler wasn't bad because many countries in Europe and worldwide thought he was OK, it's a false argument and just stop it :)

This was my interpretation as well. It all seemed very choreographed and wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was discussed and agreed through back channels.
Maybe Iran used missiles that were end of useful life as well.
Now can't be used by Yemen.

Israel doing the posturing today to appease the "eye for an eye" nutjobs.
Biden telling them they'd be on their own.

Or maybe I'm just too cynical.

but I do know that the west believes them to be and considering that's where my interest lies I have nothing to believe they are wrong in that decision.
You are quite at liberty to think like this but most of the wars both now and in the past happened because both sides thought like you.

It's like saying Hitler wasn't bad because many countries in Europe and worldwide thought he was OK, it's a false argument and just stop it :)

The fact he presented isn't like that at all, tbf. An analogy to WW2 would be stating that the vast majority of countries weren't allied with Germany. How that fact is interpreted is up to the people discussing, but yes I can see this is going nowhere useful so I will take your advice and stop it :)

No he constantly argues that the west is the bad chess piece on the board, if your metric for validation is that countries like Russia and China support you then it's fair to say you are not the good guys.

The "vast majority" of countries haven't been asked if they believe Hamas and Hezbollah are the good guys but I do know that the west believes them to be and considering that's where my interest lies I have nothing to believe they are wrong in that decision.

If you're going to call the west out for interference weapons sales and being a villain at least have the common decency to judge your heroes in the same vein.
I've met tons of people like Robbie. They love to piss and moan about how evil the West is, from the comfortable bosom of living in said evil free western democracy where criticising your government doesn't get you executed.

Look at George Galloway. He'll take Russian money and do chat shows on RT but funny how he doesn't want to actually live there.

The world is certainly not black and white, but we know who the good guys and bad guys are, right? The idea of any kind of equivalency is false, at best.
Good guys bad guys is indoctrinated into us. Most Americans a 150 years ago would have thought the native Americans were the bad guys and were therefore fair game.

China seem to be the bad guys now although compared with many western countries they've not invaded anyone.

Who are the good guys?
If you want to play “Let me answer your simple question with a question” you’re going to be playing alone.

Conversely, if you really need that answer, we are waaay past done. Reality is hard.

I spoke weeks ago about the US supplying bombs and planes to Israel because they couldn’t be caught bare-assed with Iran’s proxy war heating up and was basically laughed off! Who’s laughing now?

Now that both sides have been “seen to be doing” hopefully we can all go back to arguing over Gaza.

Carry on.
