Of course it isn’t racist.
A key difference is Islam and the Middle East is well behind Christianity in it’s development, due to it being a younger (and well false) religion.
Christianity in the West has largely moved on from what the Middle East is currently going through.
One could argue the West’s interference hasn’t helped and has stifled development and stability and I’d probably agree with that position in the main, however it doesn’t disregard the fact that Islam is a younger, and therefore more volatile, religion.
It goes in cycles with the abrahamic faiths, christians were backwards cruel despots sticking leches on their bodies in certain previous centuries while Islam embraced science and knowledge, at that same time and things like the study of medicine and anatomy etc and were quite forward thinking towards equality and women in power.
At present their is a resulgance in some stricter doctorines in islam that is all, while fundamentalist christians have influence in the governance in america at present.
In two centuries time it could all be the other way round, unless we stop the cycle of borders and division
One difference though is not so much christianity has become chilled out, it is more people in western traditional christian countries are no longer believing in it as it's all bollocks.
