Ireland and Bellamy's clubs on 01/09/10

Gotta laugh at those posters who think Ireland will be at the likes of Villa and Sunderland. Unless there is an absolutely huge about face by City, and by Ireland himself, and if the top tier clubs who want him drop out of the race, then maybe, there's a 1% chance he could end up at one of those clubs...

But realistically - he'll be a City player next season...

Bellamy - Spurs.

Who do you consider a top tier club? Do you really think a player who spent most of last season on the bench at the club who came 5th is way too good for the club who came 6th? Actually, don't answer that. I know you do.

Doesn't matter what I think...it's what the "top tier" clubs think of Ireland that's important...

Not necessarily. If we refuse to sell him to the "top tier" clubs (which I would hope is the case) then surely Villa become a realistic possibility? Or are you suggesting that Ireland feels he is too good to play for a club like Villa.

What do you think (not what do you WANT, we've had tons of those threads already) their clubs will be?

Ireland - ?

Bellamy - ?

Both at City - no matter how good Silva is i just cannot see him exceeding Bellamy's performance last season - maybe next season after a year of PL football Bellars can go but for me not before. Any club in the PL including the rags and Chelski would want him in their team and why the fook we would let him go is utterly beyond me.

Ireland - he is a quality players and i have no doubt that if he was to go elsewhere he would be on fire. Bobby needs to put an arm around him and sort him out -

Villa can't afford City's valuation of him, and aren't prepared to make a valuation adjustment on Milner with Ireland going the other way - since they need/want the cash...

I'm not suggesting that Ireland feels he's too good to play anywhere. However, why would he move to a team pushing to finish in the top 6, when he can stay at City, work his bollocks off, get back into the team, and realize his potential and his ambitions at the club he's been at since he was a kid...

That's fair enough. I hope he does that. If he does feel he needs to leave though, I sincerely hope the club don't give him the option of joining united, Arsenal or Chelsea. I'd rather we took less and sold him to a slightly "lesser" club.

Ireland - Rags

when you say earlier it would take an 'about face' by Ireland as well as City.....does that mean he doesn't want to leave the club?

or would only leave in your opinion if a top 3 club came in for him?
