go, forget the payoff or stink the the reserves for the season or 4...
Making him train with the reserves along with Bellamy and not speaking to them personally to say "You are not in my plans, you can go, good luck and thanks" is poor man management...no excuses for it really.
It's poorly thought out posts with comments like the OP make me feel apprehensive about what's happening to City and what's happening to some of the "fans" who follow the club.
Disappointing to note that players who've been with the club since their early teens and have done nothing or said nothing other than good things about our support can be on the receiving end of such tripe from some of them.

"Goats left knee" and "SEH" please dont come all thee and mighty!
My issue with the likes of you isnt JUST the fact you are having a go at Ireland (Although that pisses me off!) its more because there is a smell of real arrogance coming from our so called fans at the moment and the comments that you have both made back that up!
Believe me, i am excited about the times that are potentially ahead at City but I would decline all that "potential" success to be watching York on a Tuesday night at Maine Road KNOWING that i am surrounded by die hard fans! - And belive me, when watching us in division two, i was full of deluded optimism when the likes of Gerry Creany & Bob Taylor was coming on so fck knows how excited i would have been to have had a Stevie Ireland in the team!
Stevie, has given it is all and for me we should def not be getting rid of him.
For 35 years i have only been able to stand tall and proud next to my rag mates because i have always known i have follwed the blues through passion and not glory and that EVERY fan around me was the same, now i see nobs tagging on to us and making silly comments about players that are just not welcome!
Lets all just be careful for what we wish for as none of us are sure how long the shieks are here for, although lets hope its a long time and that our very own fans fill up the stadium and respect what we had and what we have!

Its a football forum, if everyone agreed with everyone if would be a boring old place, How do you know that they're not there tomorrow?
Why should we def not get rid of him? incase he can have another good 1 in 4 season?

dude..i have been a city fan for over 20years and have always been the more optimistic of city fans i sit among. I fully trust in bobbys judgement.in an ideal world yes he is the centre of our side..but the reality is that he is not good enough. 1 great season among about 5 piss poor ones
