Thanks for that, but you don't speak for me. Ireland is a great lad, but sentiment will only get you mid-table shite, milner is another cog in mancini's title challenging machine. As for the worst transfer business..... samaras, weah, dabo, i could type till my fingers bleed. Thanks for the memories stevie, good luck at villa.

You beat me to it. I've seen better players than Ireland leave our club. Obviously that doesn't make me a true city fan under the criteria set out. I'll close the door on my way out and wish you all good luck.

Wonder who i can support now though?

As a footnote, the move to one of the 'sky 4' never came off as some people would have us believe and bearing in mind one of them has signed a Portugese 3rd division player who the manager hasn't even seen play would make me think that he wasn't held in such high esteem to the propoganda propogated!

Dear Mr Steven Ireland - on behalf of true City fans every where I apologise whole heartily on the shambolic way our club has treated you. Best of luck to you and your family on settling in your new surroundings.

Possibly the worst bit of transfer business this club has ever done and it’s becoming plain to see that the old saying ‘More Money Than Sense’ is clearly true

There’s no doubt in my mind that this is one piece of business that we will surely regret and will return to haunt us on many occasions - Ireland is a better player than Villa & Milner already and will prove it this season before going on to higher levels - Just a shame those levels wont be with us.

tbh im fed up to the back teeth with comments like this :(

If stevie is good enough to come back and haunt us then why the fuck didnt he do the bizz whilst he was here ??

Answer that and Ill retract my first statement.

Cracker by sam.

An Apology

I know we don't normally agree, me and you, but I do with this 100%.

I don't agree with you there bob! I nearly always agree with you, the only time was the peado thread you started, (when i wanted to kill you) ;0). Apart from that you are regarded by quagmire as a genuine lad!
Oh, well... you learn something new every day.

Oh God, don't bring that up again. That was a big mistake I made.

Re: An Apology

Dear OP

When I hear a player apologise for playing rubbish for 12 months and apologise for picking up £3.5m for the privilege than you can apologise on my behalf

me

That does not meran I dont wish Ireland well but at the end of the day professional people who have to deal with him on a daily basis do not think he will take the club forward then who on here has the ability to disagree with them

Re: An Apology

He had ONE good season two years ago that was it, he aint good enough, he ran around the pitch (walked) last year thinking he was the best player in the world.
on the shambolic way our club has treated you
- well thats a joke mate, city treated Ireland VERY well during his time here helping him sort out a number of problems over the years. we also payed for a MASSIVE Ireland is superman banner at the stadium. i wish stevie Ireland all the best at villa i i hope he does well (not against us ;) )

but out of ireland and millner i know who i would rather have.

Re: An Apology

I'm not gonna apologise Stephen, I'm gonna 'thank' you and I'm gonna actually thank you.

Firstly, 'thank':
'thank you' for that superb assist for Ginger bollocks in the April derby leading to a 3rd last minute Derby loss of the season.
'Thanks' for being a one season wonder but taking the plaudits as a 'top talent' when realistically in seasons 05/06, 06/07, 07/08 and 09/10, you were pitifully average and at times awful.
'Thanks' for demanding a pay off, cheeky git.

Now, for the actual thanks:
Thanks for the Grandma tales. As cringeworthy as they were and as sorry as I felt for you at the time, they've gone on to produce some excellent humour, you sly dog you.
Thanks for leaving, theres one less Rag at the club.

All the be...nah, fuck that.

Heres a player who adores City and their fans and wears our shirt with pride, and hes treated like shit. We've shelled out 20 odd million, plus Stevie. Absolute joke of a decision and makes us look like fucking idiots. I just hope Stevie doesn't think he wasn't appreciated here at City 'cause he really was. Good luck pal, you got fucked over, and its becoming a fucking regularity.

Rant over, on with supporting Milner and the team.
