Possibly the worst bit of transfer business this club has ever done and it’s becoming plain to see that the old saying ‘More Money Than Sense’ is clearly true

There’s no doubt in my mind that this is one piece of business that we will surely regret and will return to haunt us on many occasions - Ireland is a better player than Villa & Milner already and will prove it this season before going on to higher levels - Just a shame those levels wont be with us.

Your post smacks of arrogance and a lack of respect for a player a lot held in high esteem. A player who was being shown the door and then turning it right round, putting in the extra work to improve his game - something that a lot of people in all walks of life fail to do. You may have 4500 loyalty points, but they don't make up for being a bit of an idiot with a few of your comments regarding Ireland on this thread alone.

Lack of respect - to suggest that academies aren't here to produce players to get emotionally attached to, yet your username sort of makes that ironic. Ok it wasn't a lack of respect, it was hypocrtical.

I hope Stevie does well for Villa but the OP is talking nonsense IMO, before and after his one very good season he never showed the consistency that is required for teams that are trying to get to the very top. If a change of scenery enables him to find that consistency then all well and good, it won't prove anyone right or wrong though.
