You weren't saying that this time two years ago when he was on the verge of signing for Sunderland. I remember half the people on here offering to drive him up there! He then had one fantastic season but we haven't seen anything else from him.

(shrugs) Leaves with a good luck message from me and all the best for the future. I bear no ill feeling towards him moving to Aston Villa and I hope he can become the player he was when he rose to prominance, the one that made blues call him a one season wonder.

He is an example of the harsh reality though. Don't perform, don't expect to stay. We've got the better deal in Milner. 8/10 week in, week out rather than 3/10 one week, 10/10 another with Ireland. We cannot afford to take chances, we cannot afford to carry passengers if we wish to challenge for honours.

I trust RM on this one but at the same time, the discard of Stevie and Bellers alongside the purchase of Balotelli & giving Milner Stevie's number will be the making or breaking of the current manager in my books.
