Ireland to...

I just can't help but think, is Ireland actually a worse player than Milner? And the answer is no, he isn't.

So what the hell are we getting rid of him for and bringing Milner in???

On last season's form, Milner was better, but that was last season. Next season, who knows. We could end up with Milner playing shite all season and Ireland being the star at Villa. In fact, I would bet money on it.

I dont disagree as such but Milner and Stevie are 2 different players. Stevie is more creative b ut is he as consitant, does he get up and down the field for 90 mins? (player of the year season yes he did, last year, not a chance), Milner isn't as 'special' a player as Stevie but we have Silva,Johnson for that type of creativity.

Personally I would like to keep him as well as sign Milner, but I am sure as a footballer he wants to be playing and it sems he wont be getting that here this year.

i, like yourself would be sorry to Stevie go, but we employ a manager to make hard decisions, and if his decision, for what ever reason, is that stevie isnt good enough and james milner is, well so be it.

i have my worry`s for both milner and ireland but could i get city into a position
to win the league, probably not. so i will be backing bob judgement on this and not your or mine. :)

Dont get your hopes up. May just because, MON wanted more of the fee to spend but owner wanted to spend the cash on debt.

I think the deal for Ireland going to Villa will depend on the following

1) Who their new manager is
2) Whether the new manager wants Ireland
3) Whether they can afford his wages.

I can see this may not happen at all or if it does it will be closer to the deadline day but none of the above will slow down Milner to City.

So what happens when Silva gets injured ? or he needs a rest ?

We dont have another player in the squad that can play in that sort of position - except Ireland.

Robinho

Now I know you are a rag. Hes definately never playing for city again.
just said on SSN that Ireland's representatives were set to meet Villa's people today.
But now with MON walking, will it go through as planned? If it's part of the Milner deal it will have to.

How come. He has a contract with us - if he doesnt want to go he wont. TBH I would loose a lot of respect for Ireland if he did take the deal now. WHo moves to a club in ilmbo selling their best players and no manager ?

i will be gutted if ireland leaves city, every one is quick to jump on his back because he is not on form but when he is ,he,s a far better and younger player than over rated millner who is worth no more than 8 to 10 million. i hope he stays and reclaims his spot,it will be hard for him to do so but with the new summer signings in midfield, well these guys can help him improve on and off the pitch.
