It is true, he was. He may have not have had a good game but he looked like he was in it. Ireland is City!! I am behind him all the way.

Agreed, he's slowly coming back to form. Still my favourite player, on his day he's fantastic to watch and his vision is untouchable.

i might be in the minority here but i just cant see what all the fuss is about with ireland, good player im not slagging the guy off but i just dont think he is a world beater. imo hes had 1 good season since coming through into the first team which was last year.
personally i think its the one major failing of the last transfer window, not buying a real quality ball playing/winning midfielder with loads of vision and able to put the ball on a plate for the strikers. there is better than st. stephen of ireland out there lads, honest!

edit: how can you say tevez didnt look interested?

I think the one thing that prevents The Emerald Prince from joining the Pantheon of City wizards (Peter Docherty, Bobby Johnstone, Colin Bell, Kinky and Bernarbia) is that he seems not to bring the high level of match after match consistency into the game, and it's a long time since we could say that he took the game by the scruff of the neck and made it his own. He has flashes of brilliance and in a game where passing has always been the key, he has the best pass in the club. Just got to flash it more often!

agree 110% dave, i wish i could have seen bobby johnstone, my old fella raves about him. if we could find ourselves a 23 year old benarbia i would be a very happy man!

i think we can include de jong in the "looking interested" party, yes he had a poor game considering he couldnt put a pass to our players, but his effort is outstanding, he wants the best for the team and thats all, very good player

All eleven were interested. Its nonsense to suggest otherwise, players always go out to give their best it's their job
