I think most City fans who know their football have always understood that Steve was a naturally gifted player even in the early days when things weren't going well. For some reason though his transformation has been somewhat dramatic and it makes you wonder whats happened ? . Is it really down to Hughes man management?, Is it him being more settled in his personal life with his girlfriend and children ?, Is it becuase he's gained more strength and is much fitter ? Is it because he's playing in his rightful position in midfield ? OR..... is it that he's become at peace with himself about his loss of hair at such a young age ? Don't underestimate the latter because emotionally this can be devastating to a young man. Surely it can't be a coincidence that since he's shaved it all off the lad seems free and happy and is playing fantastic football.

The rumour is true by the way..........Ireland IS SUPERMAN!!!!

He's changed cos of his new haircut.

Caicedo has seconded this theory now as well, since he got a new hair cut.

Get 'em all down the barbers!

;)

I don't think it's any one thing, although shaving his head and accepting he'd bald, will have made a huge psychological difference to him. I bet it was like a huge weight being lifted(insert wig gag here) from him. Then with the fitness and martial arts training, Superman has had a huge confidence boost. Well played Superman!

Barbers? I haven't seen the inside of a barber's in donkey's years. DIY. Get a set of clippers, set it to '0' and away you go. 5 minutes later, and it's done. Not totally shaved, but not far off! Saves a small fortune on barber's and shampoo! When you're washing your face, just keep on going upwards and backwards!
