Looks like another night of rioting. In touch with people in Coleraine and no trouble there (yet). Protests in other parts of Northern Ireland

I guess they’re just trying to shift the blame onto the angry people, which doesn’t really tend to work.

Mary Lou claiming the people protesting/rioting (usually two separate groups) are sowing racial divisions, I think the 2 sexual assaults in 2 weeks are doing the dividing Mary!
 
Saw video of a Philippino lad, works night shift in bus factory, pays his taxes, got house and car burnt out. He's appealed to rioters to talk to him

This is a great example of the failure of current immigration policy, you have some good people like this lad just trying to get by, who will suffer the consequences.

That’s why it feels like it’ll be bad down south eventually, as employers are getting €8000 of tax benefit to employee non-Irish, these problems will grow as housing crisis is inevitably going to get worse (on the gov website we’ve granted more immigrant work visas than houses are being built), dedicating builders and resources to building IPAS centres is a hot topic, and is not at all sustainable, homelessness is increasing, families in poverty increasing.

Don’t see them admitting their failures though, just blame the working class who are most affected!

Unfortunately trouble in Coleraine now. Railway line and roads blocked by burning objects. All train and bus services suspended
 
You can bet anyone arrested for this will not come from Larne - same long sentences as last year here are needed

 
People are just pissed off big time,,,,, this will happen more n more believe you me, nothing can be kept quiet anymore, this is what happens when you have no fking idea who is coming into the country, I fear this really is the start much much bigger things will start to happen

what was being kept quiet? An alleged sexual assault took place and 2 Romanian born boys had been arrested - it was all in the open so why is that justification for burning a Filipino family out of their home and destroying their car and burning down a leisure centre? Thats simpletons who are racist and are being stirred up by lies and their beliefs - anyone who can join the dots when thinking will understand it was Romanian boys NOT any immigrants you think bad things about.

Spot on. It will be the usual suspects, narrow minded bigoted and in this case racists who are stirring it up and then encouraging "youths" to go out and cause trouble. Youths who haven't actually got a clue about what they are out on the street for. Save for the fact they have heard stories of the fun people used to have throwing things at the police.

I was aware of a warning of "Immigration protests" and various places around NI and it was interesting to note that the majority of them would be considered as "Unionist/Loyalist" areas, the same areas where you will occasionally see the odd NF or C18 by of graffiti and where a certain Mr Nick Griffin may have visited,

The fact is that the correct legal process was being worked through by the authorities in relation to the alleged rape/sexual assault. So if guilty, there will be justice (irrespective of whether the family of the girl involved feel it is harsh enough), but as AWG says there are plenty of other disgusting attacks by "local" hoodlums that don't get the youth out on the street.

Racism and ignorance plain and simple
 
It sheds a light on current problems and how one section of simpletons want all foreigners thrown out and another lot of simpletons call those pissed off with rapes racist.

My highlight so far is why aren't they bothered about Irish born rapists which is truly hilarious.

Well to be fair that answer is simple, 40% of rapists are foreign born, in NI they are less than 4% of the population.

Lad at the local said it before: ''We already have our own rapists, we don't need to be importing more''

I’ll just add I’m talking about the people protesting not the ones burning down leisure centres, there’s a right and a wrong way to do things, harming your own community infrastructure is not it.

100%. I don’t know that that poster is saying has been kept quiet, either. It’s public knowledge about the Romanians.

This is just mindless thuggery like we saw after the Southport murders last year. An excuse to act up and use the incident in question as some kind of reason behind said behaviour.
