Very possibly. There were van loads of the thieving critters that used to turn up and swamp the local Tesco's and Asda when we lived in Lincoln. There are quite a few camps within about 30 miles or so of Lincoln.

Basically, yes !! I was once involved in an attempted car jacking because I had English plates on my car, fortunately for me I knew where I was, what was going on and where to go. The car jackers were of Pakistani origin but the Gardia Civil where adamant and 4 times they tried to get me to tell them they were Moroccans....they are treated like 3 rd rate citizens. I dont know why, maybe it's because they are mainly itinerant orange pickers and crime rates soar at harvest time........ The Gardia dont need much excuse to make life unpleasant for the Moroccans.
