Irish travellers rounded up in Manchester.

There was a mob in clapham steaming supermarkets in fancy dress sparking male & female management and fiming it for insta likes...from memory they travelled a good distance and advertised the caper..another mob was cycling around supermarkets on mtb's

Covid aint mankinds big threat...narcissism is.
These pond dwellers .. includes punching women in the face

I,certainly, agree with the outcome of this situation, but it does leave this action open to a lawsuit.

It's determining on an outcome before it's happened. Personally, I think based on past activities, it was the right call, but would a court support the police on 'future crime' when the future hasn't happened.

I guess being judged on "probability" isn't the best way to go but, for me, correct in this situation.

Makes me think of "The Minority Report" and how far things can go.

I'm no expert on this particular point but suspect that pre-emptive action such as this by the police falls into the 'probable cause' category. i.e. the concept of having reasonable grounds to suspect that someone is committing or about to commit a crime.

FWIW - there were already a large number of people with protected characteristics who'd already made it into Manchester and were causing anti-social behaviour, hence GMP activating their section 34 dispersal order.

Shops once again had to temporarily shut and those with multiple entrance/exits had to close some to make it one way in & out. There had also been reports of a serious assault.

Taking the action they did prevented the disorder becoming as bad as in previous years.

While some are, naively in my opinion, quick to sympathize with this obnoxious group and question the legalities of the police action, shouldn't there be more consideration for the law abiding citizens and shop owners/staff and their safety and well-being.

Unlike some, I've never had to experience this type of theft, but can only imagine the helplessness of the situation. I don't want an overbearing 'police state', but I do want to live in a lawful one. The police should be allowed to do their job to protect the shoppers and staff at the shopping centre and presumably on the train system as well, because I would imagine they were far from angelic teenagers at the station and on the train.

This is a good example of a practice where exemplary sentences are needed.

For example, if everyone 'rushing' shops got 5 years inside - no exceptions - I suspect it would not happen very often.

As for the mess they make in playing fields, etc.; this is why we need something like the Spanish Civil Guard. Not easily intimidated and able to be mob-handed and armed if necessary. Bear in mind the mugs - Council Tax payers - usually have to pay for the clear-ups, and it isn't cheap. They should be 'persuaded' to clear up their own shit.

Genuine question.

Do the Spanish Civil Guard beat the shit out of their gypsy communities?

No idea if they shit on public parks over there.
