Irish travellers rounded up in Manchester.

Do they pay tax/national insurance?
Road tax?
Car Insurance?
Council tax?

When they moved onto a field near to my mums, you could see the women walking the dogs down the back alleys/entries look at what they could rob that night (including clothes off the line).

They rode scramblers/motorbikes all over the fields.

They broke into numerous factories.

They even stole the machine off the wall in the laundrette with only pound coins in.

They would steal out of the local shops (I think you call it “rushing” and due to the amout of them there is nothing you can do.

When the police finally moved them they left it a shithole and it cost thousands to clear up.

When i was about 14, i was helping a neighbour work on his drive, i had a shovel and a group of them come over and i shit it, to be fair they didnt steal it off me, they politely asked me if i “wanted a fight for it?”

They can get to fuck, there lives are about thieving, ripping people off, violence and not giving a shit about other people.

I couldn’t give two shiny shits about their feelings, if they want to make themselves usefull, tell them to get a couple of the families together and sell out level 3 for tonights game, then they can fuck off again

Edit : i’ve just remembered about an old lady in Newton Heath who i was speaking to. She had rubbish in her garden and travellers knocked on to see if they could remove it for her. £80.00
They put it all in the tipper van, drove out of the cul-de-sac and tipped it all on a grass verge 50 yards down the road

They are what they are no matter what you call them. I’m not denying their Irish heritage either, but I watched that video and they all sounded like they were born and bred in Britain.
I don’t know how they can be described as an ethnicity, either here in ireland or anywhere else they are born and raised.

Do they have passports?
Birth certificates?
ID of any sort?
They are citizens of wherever they were born and should conform to the rule of law no matter where they settle.
Are they claiming benefits in Britain? They’re British. They can’t claim here and in Britain.

I said in my original post. A scumbag is a scum bag no matter what other title they choose to be recognised by. Take Trump for example :-)
They deserve to be called out and I don’t see why they should receive any special treatment as a protected characteristic group. Is scumbag a protected characteristic?
It was a joke. Travellers moaning about travelling.

I was renovating not long ago and the building company hired some gypsies with a van to take away some rubbish. Saw them come back a couple of times, they must have seen something of mine they liked so I went out and took a photo of them in their van and luckily they didn't come back.

In neither the U.K. nor Eire does birth confer citizenship.
Fine. But Tommy Joyce says he’s born and bred in Manchester?
So is he a Mancunian traveller or an Irish Traveller on the census?

Listen it makes no odds at all.

My point is, I know the heritage and history of dispossession from which they supposedly originate.
But putting Irish in front of the noun like it’s a recognised trait of the whole population is not something I’m blaming Britain on, but for third/fourth generation travellers in Britain I really see it a superfluous to the characteristics they portray.
They are what they are regardless.
If there’s decent individuals in any group treat them accordingly.
Totally up to you individually if you would go as far as trusting them however.
