Is an in form Tevez the best player in the league?

The only way Carlos was ever going to rehabilitate his character amongst the City faithful was by doing what he's been doing since the season started. Personally doing the Sky interview in English and fronting the questions about last season was the moment I let go of all of last season's shit.

As to whether he's the best player in the league - in form he is certainly one of them. If he keeps his head straight he will be indispensable again for us before long.

I think he's the best striker in the league on his day. He's got a low-centre of gravity, strong, intelligent and has a cracking shot behind him. He's composed and a proven winner, unlike players such as Robin Van Persie who has one trophy to his name and one good season under his belt. I think not getting him and retaining Tevez was a blessing in disguise, but we'll see.
Everyone is subjective and has bias, especially when talking about hated rivals, but RVP is pure class. For me not just the best striker, but the best player in the league. RVP is a winner too. It's just the rest of his team kept letting him down hence the move. He has also had a lot more than one good season. He has been incredibly good for the last 18 months. Before that was brilliant when not injured.

Even if RVP wasn't better than Tevez, I still think he would fit into your team better. That said the gap between the two players not enough to make a difference. Tevez is world class and having him in the squad is a huge boost from last year.
