Ha ha that's always my thinking. I guess lots of us older City fans always fear the worst. It doesn't matter we have had mainly thirteen years of success, you can't just shake off the thirty five years of failure preceding it.
Just recently I've watched us hammer both Liverpool and Arsenal, much more convincingly than the scorelines suggest. Those City performances, if replicated every game, barring outrageous bad luck and refereeing wins the treble at a canter. In between I've watched us stutter at Forest and limp over the line at Fulham which of course adds to the worry. If we win the next ten games it means we will have done it. Of course we could possibly draw a couple or lose one in the league. We are better than every team we have to play if we achieve this but we all know that doesn't guarantee we beat them.
I'm with you I cringe at posts like this, the universe has a funny way of throwing a spanner in the works when people get carried away. I just want to get one trophy won, then I might think about another.
