Is Arshavin coming?

Don't want him - we do NOT need another 5' 4" attacking midfielder who weighs 9 stone dripping wet. He's also class when he wants to be but their last game of the euros he went completely missing. The position we least need to strengthen is AM, does this mean we've given up on Kaka? :)

Screw Bellamy also, I'd much rather have Podolski who can play LW & ST, there's loads of people who can fill in on RW - a lot more difficult to get decent LWs.
good shout, would love podolski here, best of the 3 for me.

I seem to remember that we were all raving about Arsharvin last year before the takeover now that we have money...hes not good enough..

Arsharvin or bellamy ??

Tin hat time....Bellamy would bring some aggression to squad so have to say him at the moment.
no tin hat required, they are both good players but bellamy is proven in the prem so i too say bellamy.
both would be nice.

I may be wrong so I apologise in advance, but didn't you post on here a couple of months ago that you had got wind of the intended transfer targets for this January, and that they would "shock the footballing world" such was their attraction?

One of the reasons you were such a strong supporter of Hughes was that the team, come January, would be unrecognisable, and would provide evidence that Hughes was, despite many supporters reservations, the real deal.

Has that view now changed? In that the transfer targets are no longer feasible? That, in reality, Hughes was now looking at a damage limitation exercise and was targetting players who could now get us out of a relegation battle?

Like I say, I may have misread your previous posts, but as you seemed to be a genuine ITK, I was interested in why it's all changed now we are in January.

Re: Arshavin is coming?

It might be a tit for tat bid to remind Wenger that two can play this game...

Besides, we have no idea if Gazprom (owns Zenith) and our Sheikhs might be business partners in a number of ventures.

Re: Arshavin is coming?

I like Arshavin, he's really good. Humiliated our Sweden side last summer.

Plus look at Wikipedia - someone put Arsenal as his current club. :) Would make it even nicer getting him. :)

yes he had a good euros, but he is a flash in the pan player.

Not sure we need/want him at City

still need someone to put the ball in the onionbag

So you've watched him a lot before the Euro's then have you? I haven't seen a lot but he was instrumental in winning Zenit the Uefa cup last season. Who'd have expected a largely average team like that to win?

Re: Arshavin is coming?

Hes to weak for the premier league.
Jo was in the same league and scored double Arshavin scored. A bullshit story by Arshavins "BULLSHITTING ROBBING BASTARD AGENT" to hike the price up.
