Is food rationing imminent?

Because we are the biggest importer of food (more than 50%) with low production at home.
And they probably make the smallest margins due to the likes of Tesco and Co screwing them down on price. So if supply is short, give it to the markets where you make the most profit.

Was reading the other day that the buffer we usually have in the domestic production that covers shortfalls in imports of these products isn’t there at the mo either.
