Is Guidetti Good Enough Next Season?

You seem to have forgotten that Hughes, I think, blooded Ched Evans. He didn't look like a Premiership player to me, but ignoring his nocturnal pursuits, he is having a cracking season with Sheff Utd, but thats 3rd division stuff. The question I would like to ask, is how good is Guidetti compared to Evans. From what I've read they are similar players, relying on strength, rather than silky skills. Comparing the two will be good benchmark as to whether Guidetti will make it in our first team.
Ched Evans made his debut against Norwich mate(under Sven)

i think a loan to Championship club or lwer Prem team is his next step.

Dont think Liverpool will want him as giving Carrol another season by the looks of it

The only reservation I have over him is that I believe he has said he's not prepared to play 4th striker. I'm sorry son, but you are 19. You should be jumping for joy at the prospect of playing 4th striker at a CL club which will be challenging for major honours. With all the competitions he will get more than enough games, and if he's not happy he can do a Sturridge and go on loan in Jan to Bolton or something. I just don't see the humility, it's like there is a sense of entitlement. One decent season in a so-so league does not a Messi make. Head down, work hard. Earn it.

I agree, that is the bit that worries me. But I see it all the time here with the U15 community team I manage. These lads are obviously never going to be professionals but they still have this sense of entitlement and prince hood that is difficult to overcome. I would say it is beyond Guidetti or even football and has more to do with the new form of histrionic culture that has developed (ie Facebook, Twitter, and Xbox, which are all less communal platforms--as some argue--and much more a social framework for exalting oneself).

Anyway, I think Guidetti could be a very good fourth striker in place of Balotelli (I am probably one of the few left that think Dzeko is still class and will be prolific when Mancini gets what he wanted last summer, this summer: wingers.)

That made me go 'oooo' outloud, well done :)

Just pointing out where the world is heading. ;-)

We gave Jo 25 appearances last season, surely we can give Guidetti 30+. It's a long season if we don't bottle our way out of every cup and you might find Guidetti could force his way in as he has a sheer drive to succeed that we aren't seeing in a couple of our strikers.

How is Jo doing?

We need to send him to a higher standard of football with due respect to the Dutch League. Somewhere like Burnley in the Championship, who have ambitions to get back into the Premier League. That would be a great test for him.

Eredivisie is highly competitive this season (Guidetti right in the thick of it with Feyenoord as well), there was 1 point separating 1st-5th a couple of games ago. The Championship is a step down from the Eredivisie, in my opinion. If we're going to loan him out again it's either mid to lower league prem team or mid table La Liga team, with guaranteed first team football. With Guidetti being 19, almost 20 I think a championship loan would be a waste. But for someone like Rekik, Suarez and Roman (17/18) it's a good chance for them to pick up some experience - heard Rekik had another solid game for Portsmouth tonight against Palace. Hopefully we can get a full season loan for him next year.
