Is it ever acceptable to boo players?

I'd rather have fans be allowed to express their own views than have some kind of Korean happy clapper parade which is fake.

Boo whoever you want, just don't expect a player to perform during the match for us if he feels unwanted.

I personally don't boo my team. I'd rather back them positively in hope they'll also be positive which could hopefully lead to a better performance.

I'd laugh my ass off if Pep came in and Bony became a beast.
I doubt it but I've seen stranger things in this sport.

Add yes the booing might be of the decision to play him rather than it being personal, but it would still have a negative impact.
 
I don't rate Bony but would never boo him as he's a City player and it's just not any help to the lad ffs.
As some have said on here call the players when you're out of the ground but never boo them at the game.
Lets hope Wet Spam win tomorrow...
 
Were all those fans who were booing him when he came on the same ones jumping out of their seats when he smashed the volley against the bar. Hypocritical fans at their best.
 
For me booing our own players is unbelievably stupid

1. Doesn't motivate the player? No
2. Does it motivate his own team? No
3. Does it motivate the opposition? Yes
4 Does it reflect badly on our club and fans? Yes

Nacho was poor yesterday. Should have been taken off at half time. His decision making was poor, he didn't look like he knew where he was playing and he kept getting in players way. I'm not sure why Pellegrini couldn't see that unless his faith in the Bench and in particular Sterling is so low that he felt it was better to leave him on as long as he did.
 
I am not sure it was the player being booed, it was the latest "tactical" change this season that either made little sense, or was way too late, that set the fans off.

I'd say Gareth Taylor Curled up and the Goat analysed his weaknesses, improved his game and became a hero

Agree, I don't think the booing was aimed all at Bony, the decision to put him on and Pellegrini can take some share of the booing. I didn't boo but inside I felt like it. We pays our money we have a right to an opinion, right or wrong.

your customers do complain to you though if you f*ck up, i'm sure they would be straight on the phone to complain. Not like you can have a little chat with Pony after the game and give him some feedback. I dont agree with booing but its the only way of showing displeasure, along with not clapping them around the pitch after the game
 
totally unexceptable to boo a player wearing a City shirt, i am not a fan of Bony but would never boo him how is that going to motivate anyone coming on or being on the pitch, complete morons who booed sunday.
 
I have never booed a city player and I never will. Just don't want to be that type of 'entitled' fan. Booing your own players should be left to Real Madrid and their superficial fans
