Is it just me or have our ticket prices increased vastly ??

I don't really see how having a season ticket means you are more loyal. I live a good 4 hrs away by car. I can't justify getting a season ticket as it would be too expensive. Although I love city, I can't do it, a city card suffices.

it does mean you are more loyal, but it doesnt mean none st holders arent loyal.

Guys I think you'll find this isn't a City-related phenomena. In any sport in any country, the season ticket almost always makes their per game price lower than if you were to walk up and purchase at the door. It's certainly like that in America in all the major sports and I would hazard a guess that it is like that everywhere, otherwise where lies the benefit of purchasing a season ticket??

I don't think anybody is arguing with that. Those who fork out the money for a season ticket at the start of the season (in whatever sport it is) are more than entitled to see some saving over the course of the season.

I think the problem is that when you average the prices out over the course of the season, to have those who are unable, whether it be logistics or just plain cost, to buy a season ticket paying £20* more to attend a game seems a bit excessive. (season ticket for Colin Bell Lv 3 centre blocks is £550 or roughly £28 a game, while I paid this morning £48 to sit in that area for the Liverpool game).

It's costing me almost as much just to get into the game as it is for flight and hotel combined. Will it put me off going? Probably not as I want to see my team play but I might just have to reassess how many times I make the trip across this season if £40-£50 ticket prices prove to be the norm rather than the exception.

* And yes, I do realise this is only 1 game and the 'saving' for home games to Wigan or Stoke isn't going to be as great.

This does my head in! I pay my season ticket, i want to see us play EVERYONE, not just the 'sky 4'. It doesn't sit right with me when someone says, i'm coming over for the liverpool game or the chelsea game. A fan would try and get to every game, not just the 'glamour' games. I don't go to see drogba, torres, fabregas, rooney or defoe, i go to watch the boys in blue, muller who ever the opponents are.

thats the benefit to ST holders, if it was the same, not much point getting a ST, if i was desperate i would find someone else, an go halves on a st.

yeh but 24 quid v 50 quidd is a big difference,it souds like the gas and electric card metre situation where the poor get stuffed for being poor

So do we think this variance will stay for long? There will allways be a pre,iu, to pay if you don't have a season ticket but x2 won't last for long.... season tickets will escalate significantly when we win tsomething :-((

Don't quite get your point in relation to what I've said.

I thought City were a family club glen, inclusive rather than exclusive. Just because someones personal circumcatances prevents them from attending as many games as they would like, it doesn't mean they love our club any less.

Not having a go mate, as you can see i've only highlighted half of the sentence. I was just making a point about, the type of fan we are attracting now, and have had for a while. Moaning about can't get tickets for the sky 4 games, i've not heard anyone moan, that they can't get tickets for stoke or wigan.

just put 10 quid a week away for a year ,,next season no drama 500 towards a season ticket..common sense really...i have to do it that way from now on ,,,and if it ever becomes a thousand ,,i will put 20 away ,,,just deal with it what ever it takes
