2 games, and 2 attempted assaults from united fans, i am curious to know what is being done about it.

bellamy couldn't do the job he is paid for on wednesday due to united not controlling their crowd, he should have been taking the next corner after the bottle incident, but it wasn't safe for him to take it, united instantly went up the other end and scored.

it doesnt sit easy with me what has happened twice at old trafford this season, and considering they have a bottomless pit of bottle throwing mongs, what action is being taken against united.

games have been replayed in the past, and the minute bellamy couldnt take a corner then the level playing field no longer existed.

I 100% agree with you, something should be done by the FA, if someone attacked a united player like that, there would be uproar.
Come on FA get it sorted.

Agree. We were cruising to the final up to that point. Changed the game in my opinion ... probably nothing will get done though as it the rags ... different story if we had done that ....
Fergie would demand a replay!

100% Agree too.

If the FArce do nothing it could set a dangerous precedent, and other Clubs Moron fans could think it's alright to do this and get away with it.

But as it is ManUre I'm not expecting any punishments anyway.

I think answers your question.

CALCULATED RISK: Rio Ferdinand played semi-final

MANCHESTER United’s gamble on Rio Ferdinand paid off – despite him receiving a four-game ban from the FA yesterday.

His decision to contest the FA’s charge of violent conduct enabled him to play a key part in United’s Carling Cup semi-final win over Manchester City on Wednesday – viewed by the club as a game they dared not lose.

He was found guilty of deliberately smashing his arm into Hull striker Craig Fagan’s face last Saturday and the FA added a further game to the statutory three-match suspension for what they termed a “frivolous” not guilty plea. Ferdinand now misses Sunday’s match at Arsenal, the home game against Portsmouth plus trips to Aston Villa and Everton.

But although there is frustration Ferdinand is missing again after just returning from a 19-game absence with a back injury, his availability to play against City and secure a Wembley place was regarded as vital.

He will be able to play in the away leg of the Champions League last-16 tie against AC Milan and will be
free to play in the Carling Cup final on February 28.

And with Nemanja Vidic fit again and Jonny Evans back to his best after injury, plus Wes Brown, United now have the defenders available again to cover Ferdinand’s absence. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who tied up the £10million transfer of Chris Smalling from Fulham yesterday, will still be frustrated, however.

Before the hearing he said: “If it’s a fair hearing then he has got a good chance because he was wrestled, punched, there was all sorts of things happening and he just tried to wrestle free of it. Unfortunately for us, he has caught him in the back of the neck or something.”

SEARCH FOOTBALL for:

Ferdinand can appeal but it is unlikely as, if it were thrown out, he could be suspended for a fifth game – and that would rule him out of the Carling Cup final against Villa. The FA are unlikely to take any action against United for the coins and plastic bottles thrown at Craig Bellamy.

The FA believe the police and security arrangements were good and all reasonable attempts to quell crowd trouble were taken. They will leave the incident in the hands of Greater Manchester Police, who have arrested two men in connection with throwing missiles.

If found guilty, they will be banned for life from United matches. Anderson’s future at Old Trafford remains unclear after United refused to confirm or deny he had been fined £80,000 for going AWOL to his native Brazil.

what a cover up.

Thing is if we stop Bellamy from playing at OT due to attempted assaults you just know a blue will go one step further on one of there players.
