Is it time that Onouha was properly part of the squad ?

Leaving aside the huge potential of our highly rated 20 year old International, Stefan Savic, I'd like to explore your views on 'players being treated differently' further. I know your post alluded to 'the forum' but would hazard a guess that you also believe this of Mancini? Taking Nedum as an example (seeing as this thread is on him, but, naturally my question could be extended to other players) do you feel that the 'certain other factors' you refer to should be ignored when selection decisions are made?

No, I don't believe it of Mancini - as manager he is well within his rights to fuck off any player who talks out of turn about him publicly. I've absolutely zero problem with that.

However, the point i was making was simply that Bluemoon is hugely revisionist in the way it treats players. Neds and Bellamy are two examples of players who always gave their all for City - but the moment Mancini decided they were dispensable, the forum became infested with "he's shit, he's a twat, fuck him off, never want to see him in a City shirt again blah blah blah". Then again I expect nothing less from some of the immature halfwits who populate the forum.

Thanks for answering and clarifying, Billy.

I do agree that a number of posters on Bluemoon are highly revisionist (not all, but a fair few) but I guess most forums (and a lot of supporters too, though forums can be more volatile) are a bit like that. We only have to look at threads proclaiming such and such is 'shite' 'waste of money/space' and lots of posters agreeing......only for the same player to be lauded as 'world class, a 'revelation' etc etc a few months later.

It even happens with players at other teams too - someone scores against us or plays well against us and we simply 'have to sign him - he's brilliant!'

Anyway, I'll shut up as this is a 'Nedum' thread - I do rate the guy and would like to see him remain at City as a Squad player at least but it may be too late for that at this juncture.

We'll see.

Better defender than Zaba and Boyata. Maybe not as versatile as Zaba . Bleeds Blue. Baffled as to how a player like Savic can be lauded whilst so much very ignorant personal uninformed abuse is leveled at Neds. Actually it doesn't baffle me.
We don't always agree BS, but I do here, for me he was better than Savic on Tuesday night, I like both (and Boyata) though, and my point in the original post was that Onouha as a footballer (ignoring the other stuff), is good enough to be here as a squad player, used regularly as a sub, or in games where we need to rest more senior players. I didn't think he was MoTM on Tuesday, but as I said in my opening post, considering how little football he has had, he had a decent game.

Definitely not. He disrespected the manager, he disrespected the team, he disrespected the club by whining on Soccer AM, and then he appears not to have intervened in the emailgate scandal that cost Cook his job.

Now Cook was an idiot for sending it and got treated accordingly. However, Nedum could have gone public himself (given the mail was over a year old) to pour a bit of cold water on the fire. He clearly chose to remain silent.

THIS .... AND NED's NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Tough Decision because of the baggage that comes with Onouha, yes he did the wrong thing about bleeting to the media about lack of game time, also the Cook email fiasco that still hangs over like a bad stench, but then he did fill in for the Carling Cup Games, so that some of the other players could have a rest, before all the above happen to Onouha I thought he was a good defender and just needed more game time to come good. But its obvious he really doesn't fit into Mancini's plans????, so really just treading water before January and maybe a sale elsewhere???. Who knows we can only just watch and see what happens with Onouha........

In my opinion you give a little extra leeway to homegrown, local, lads. Neds may not be a world beater, and it's an oft used example, but neither are champions league and premier league winners like O'Shea, Wesley Brown, etc. The point is that those players, because of their local roots, are far more likely to be happy being part of a "squad" than outside imports.

Ultimately the decision is the managers and he's earned the right to make whatever one he chooses. Lets hope he sees what we see...

gets too much stick on this forum. cant see mancini playing him any more though, even if he does apologise for whatever hes done.

Agree with the sentiments being expressed here. I think if i'd seen an internal email from my employers which was not too complimentary about my family i'd be pissed. Cook fell on his sword and that should have been that, it was not advisable from neds part to continue any further finger pointing. Do think RM should rightly decide if to allow NO back into the group fully or otherwise. A half decent replacement will probably cost £5-10m, would they be any better than what we have, baggage and all?

Hopefully not. It's been 18 months and still no public apology

Also he looked about 3 stone overweight on Tuesday and was at fault for the early arsenal chance

Hope he has not been on the wifes pills again

That's because, unlike most on this site, I always knew he had it in him to be a quality player. He just needs some quality coaching.
The other one I was impressed with was Toure - I didnt think he had it in him, but he's lost weight and looks the part now. Can he keep it up?
