Is it time that Onouha was properly part of the squad ?

After the little trick he/his mum/his agent/whoever pulled over the Garry Cook email, he should think himself lucky he's even training with the 1st team
Correct...i would never boo the lad if he stayed, but best all round if he leaves.

He was good defensively, but still lacking on the ball which will mean he'll never be a part of Mancini's plans.

But Onuoha should be highly praised for his attitude last night. He knows he has no future here, and that he only played so we could rest the important players, so it could have been very easy for him to just go through the motions. He could quite easily have not given 2 shits whether we progressed through to the next round or not, but he was determined to win the game, was clapping the other defenders and Panti when they made excellent contributions. This for me was the most striking part of his performance last night - his professionalism and attitude.

Not really arsed about the Cook thing, if he was stupid enough to shoot himself in the foot then he's not good enough to be our CEO. I never took to Cook anyway, he had the air of an out and out bullshitter.

More bothered about Onouha's bizarre idea that a City manager should pick a City side based on what's best for the England national side but there's a lot of water passed under the bridge since that rant.

If he's happy to take a relatively small wage knowing he'll rarely play then he can stick around as far as I'm concerned.

You can look at this in plenty of ways. Do we want him out for past mistakes, things Kia, his Mum or he has done, or do we want him out because he is simply not good enough.
Last night he was OK, nothing more, used the ball poorly, chopped it aimlessly forward too many times. Out of position too often. He does look half decent if he was 18, I'd keep him, he's not he's what 24, and regressing.
What some's him up for me, the reason he will never be good enough was one instance last night, late in the first half, they hit a long ball, desperate clearance out of defence, right down his throat, he miss controlled and it nearly went out for a throw in, there was no one near him, yet our pressure broke down. He simply doesn't concentrate enough, too reliant on his physical attributes. He would be perfect for QPR or Villa. Not us.

Some very clear and shocking thoughts revealed on here about Neds. Apart from the fact that he doesn't get regular games at any stretch of the imagination and, as one has said, could've easily not gave a sh*te about the game, I think he did remarkably well!

The "not good enough" brigade seem to think that we should have Superstars in every position. Well, those days are done and dusted. We have little chance of getting a 'world class' player in that position and will have to wait for a 'fantastic' youth player to come through.

Also, like some have said, Cook fooked Cook up; no one else.

Seriously, time to get the fook over it.

thought ned was good all round last night. bloke next to me thought he was man of the match. good back up defender and starter in f a cup, europa league. as for mancini not liking players who arent top drawer on the ball, what about joleon? the main thing we want from a defender is to defend.

I thought he played well and is definitely worthy of being a squad player for us, forget the email thing its done.
