Is it time to unmask the muslim woman?

1/ A shopping centre is private property but there is no tresspass law within Scotland.

2/ The use of the full atire in which a known terrorist left these shores dressed as a muslim woman, even though he was a man, and was involved in the 7/7 bombings.

3/ Back to the Hoodie argument

two is an interesting one. these stories come up quite a bit but the official home office guidelines say that people should be asked to lift their veils.

lost me completely with one and three

i say ban them yes.
walking home around half 12 last night and a muslim was walking right behind me i felt intimidated as i didnt see there face at alll ( the 1 where you can only see their eyes)
I was walking home the other week and there was two pissed up lads both wearing Lacoste tops. They were fairly close to me and they were swearing. I felt uneasy. It's fair to say that alcohol and Lacoste polo tops should also be banned. I could have been happy slapped. They probably both had mobile phones. They should be banned too. I don't want to end up on youtube with a nose bleed.

What a reactionary pile of tripe this thread is.

I say ban the Daily Mail. Judging by this thread it poses a far bigger threat to the survival of British society than a bit of cloth on some women's head.

If you are going to make up a story and lie then at least make it just a little bit more convincing?

Working in a shopping centre i realise alot of centre's have a strict policy on "hoodies" and anyone wearing it with the hood up is asked to take it down.

Now explain the difference between me wearing a hoodie in a shopping centre and a woman wearing a Burkha. By asking me to take my hood down, is that not being stereotypical and classing me as one of the yobs who wear hoods?

What will it take for a ban to the Burkha? Muslim women mugging people in the street? I'm sorry but they should be gone. This isn't a muslim state and they should be made to realise this.

Well said, the most sensible statement on this thread. I do hope you are ready for the "political correctness" numpties amongst us who will attempt to shoot you down in flames, but will obviously fail as they still have not answered my very interesting point so i will ask it again. Why do they wear it when it is not even part of their religion?

It's my position at least that the owners of shopping centres should be allowed to request that someone in a Burka remove it (just the head portion heh) before entering. If the Burka wearer declines then they shouldn't be allowed in. The same goes for "Hoodies" if they so choose.
The reason why Burkas are treated differently is because there's this idea around that religious beliefs are exempt from criticism, and the Burka is seen (rightly or wrongly) as a religious identity. Also, because of this people are afraid of getting sued whereas they aren't with "Hoodies".
Burkas should be treated no different imo, tho the owner of the shop is the one who should decide (I think they'd agree if they were allowed to)

That's not making the Burka illegal tho.

How someone can justify the burka is beyond me. It creates diversity and a communtity devided. How can you have a conversation with someone if you cant see their face? its just plain rude if im being honest. if im talking to someone and i have sunglasses on, then i will take them off so they can see my full face, its just polite. When i go skiing if im talking to someone, i will take my goggles and hat off, for the same reason, its respectfull. Worst of all, wearing the burka is not even part of their religion, so why do they do it?

Maybe just maybe because they want to!Then again a self confessed anti muslim bnp"spits" voter like you would not accept that as an answer.

In all honesty, the two guys wearing Lacoste polo tops probably just wanted to suck your dick.

I'm all for religious tolerance but I am yet to hear a valid arguement for a burkha.

Is the Burka a religious symbol?i was led to believe it is not mentioned in the Koran and it dates back to Persian times and has no religious significance.
