But the officials don't need to see the actual incident only have to see the players and look in their direction. The ref was clearly looking in thier direction so that should be the end of it. The FA told us the reason for retrospective bans is only for things off the ball. This was on the ball and the officials clearly were looking at them cause they called a foul. Doesn't matter that the fould was called for different offence. The fact they were looking at the play should leave the FA "powerless".

It won't

Exactly, it doesn't matter if the video clearly shows the ref looking in their direction. If the ref says he didn't see the incident, Aguero is going to be banned.

But I hope not. his (potential) ban would extend to the Premier League games, right?

Very disappointed in him, was there anything that Luiz did that made him do it?

Elbowed Kun in the chest but that doesn't excuse it. Will have to take his ban (if it comes) an get over it.

I think it was a culmination of elbows from luiz that was too much for aguero. I noticed he got one in the face in the first half too plus a couple more to the ribs.
He shouldnt have reacted like that though and i fully expect a ban.

Re: Is it true Aguero can't be banned?

He just saw red when that prick Luiz elbowed him. He will get banned but Luiz deserves a ban as well but he gets away with elbow after elbow.

Pretty awful
Doesn't get any better the more I look at it. Take the ban Kun, and learn from it.

Thought it resulted in a throw in for Chelsea? Was it a free kick.. if so FA cant do fuck all cos this means Foy saw and awarded a free kick for "an offense" ... my mind is goosed right now with that heart wrenching ending... couldn't make this semi but final @ Wembley here I come!!

Re: Is it true Aguero can't be banned?

Think it would be very harsh to see him banned for the final. Perhaps probably the next 3 games was a bit stupid on his behalf.
