Is Ken Barlow acting?

The only reason I started watching was seeing Sally Webster wearing the denim mini skirt when she met Kevin.
To be fair, some of the Pat Phoenix scenes were great TV. And Stan & Hilda were okay to watch but blimey there were some dull characters.

Albert Tatlock
Phyllis Pearce
Mavis Riley (although Thelma Barlow was great in dinnerladies)
Her who was married to the guy who got killed in the wages robbery. Emily Bishop that’s the one.
Betty whatsername!

One of my mates adores Ena Sharples. He has that iconic picture of her up in his lounge.

That old chestnut. The amount of people who say that was the last time they watched it is remarkable.

In fact, any thread about Coro seems to attract a lot of people who think it’s complete shite but know a lot about it.
I stopped watching Corrie regularly around that time as the programming changed as it went from 2 nights per week to 3 nights a week, with the additional night being Friday evening at 7.30 pm .
Back in those days I went out straight after work for a couple of beers with work colleagues.
I worked just off Regent Road in Salford so the favoured hostelries were Pier Six (on Salford Quays) or The Mark Addy next to the River Irwell on the edge of town.
So I more often than not missed the Friday evening episode so I gave up trying to catch up each plot and just stopped watching Corrie completely.
