I'm not talking about glorifying them. They kept tabs and took action all over the empire on threats. They would either buy them it kill them. The only reason they are missing about a guy getting fitba crowds is because there wasn't a guy getting fitba crowds.
Three years cutting about with 12 Guys raising the dead, curing lepers, feeding five thousand, and nobody in authority mentions him?
Impossible.
Say you're a Roman Emperor and you want to rule your subjects with an iron fist, why on earth would you have your historian bleat on about your problems and note some poor dude's power in drawing a crowd bigger than your coliseum??!

The was frequent commutation if how things were going and particularly threats. Many records of this. And none of them attracted crowds 30k. Unless of course they thought oh he has lovely hair he won't be a bother. :)
