Is Manchester airport the worst in Europe?

Considering they're getting thousands of pounds in extra revenue for doing absolutely nothing from the ridiculous drop off and pick up charges, they need to spend some of it improving the place.

The signage is appalling, the lack of staff to direct and help people is non existent and the information/customer care desk ( When you can find it ) is staffed by people who hate the human race. The baggage reclaim areas are grim and the wait for your luggage too long. Security is slow as is immigration. All the food and drink areas are understaffed and the service as a result is awful. God help you if you have a long walk and/or are in a hurry because none of the walkways to assist with this are ever working.
Aside from all this it isn't too bad lol!

Most of those moving walkways are operational now
By October next year all fights should be out of t2 and the newly built other half of t2

I flew out in June and had an afternoon flight so I caught the bus to the terminus. I was flying out from terminal three I think so it was quite a hike from the bus station. Not one walkway was working.

One, I don't drive. Two if I'm going on holiday I want some warmth and sun. I also want staff who are friendly and pleased to see me, good customer service, plenty of live entertainment in most bars and prices that are reasonable. None of that I've ever found holidaying in this country.

Ha ha!! I have taken a couple of holidays in this country recently due to my sister and her husband booking places over here for family occasions. Aside from enjoying spending time with the family I have found them all pretty awful. If we hire a lodge it isn't too bad, aside from the price, but hotels and guest houses are still pretty grim. Also most pubs and restaurants in the vicinity are poor, both in service and price. Parts of Cornwall are nice scenery wise but bloody miles away.

I know a lot of people holiday in this country because as they age their travel insurance may go through the roof, or they can't handle the stress of airports. It's certainly not cheaper. I can hire a one bedroom apartment in Tenerife for 50 Euros a night. I'd be extremely lucky to find a grotty B+B in the back streets of Blackpool for that.

Horses for courses though, if people like holidaying here good on them. I can't wait to get on a plane out of here.
