Is Manchester airport the worst in Europe?

I don't go away till end of August.
It does sound like it's getting a bit better now.
Hopefully over the next few weeks things will keep improving

Absolute fucking shitshow this morning. Whoever the tall Simon Jordan looking **** is at the front of security at T3 wants a fucking slap. Waybhes talking to his staff is atrocious. Staff close to tears, stressed to fuck. Planning and organisation is an absolute shambles

Reading all the horror stories about Ryanair the question is why do people use them? Are there no alternatives? I know they can be cheap but is it worth the stress? Just asking

Never had a problem with Ryanair. Sometimes, they are the only airline flying the route you want: e.g. Manchester-Valencia. 4 return flights for less than £200 last October, both flights on time, no dramas.

Unlike bloody TUI who two weeks after cancelling my holiday still haven't refunded me yet.

Unfortunately for me it's a package holiday and that's the airline the travel agent's are using.
Definitely not my preferred choice of airline.

Have Ryanair been that bad? Mainly TUI and easyjet from what Ive seen. Never had major issues with Ryanair personally, once got delayed and then diverted mid air but got compo that covered the cost anyway.

I think Ryanair have coped better than most. Very few cancellations and getting most flights away pretty much on schedule. We had an hour delay with them earlier this month but that was because there wasn't a tug to push the plane back. Check in was quick and we even had a case which we self checked in.
Terminal 3 isn't a good experience though, massive queues for food and drink thanks God for Boots meal deal.

the 3 hours queue for a beer after the 2 hour queue for security is obviously not a problem

Flown with them 4 times this year. Been absolutely spot on. Does what it says on tin. Gets you there. Usually on time, for a price that's cheaper than a taxi to Manchester and back from my house. They fly into some right random airports but that's all part of the fun! £19 return to Bruges and its been absolute class.

Trying to work out who the biggest diva is: Posh Spice or Boy George.

Just got through check in and security this morning. Wasn’t anything other than normal queues really. T2 though when you get through is a cluster fuck. Seems far too small for the amount of people. Queues to get in all bars, restaurants and toilets

I’m at T2 this morning. Arrived at 3.25 for a 6.25 TUI flight. Finally through everything at 5.10. Lots of people at check in missing info like covid checks. Security wasn’t too bad, quicker than check in. Didn’t bother with food/drink. Have to see if flights on time now.

Same here. Must have flown 50 times with Ryanair over the years and never had a problem. Never takes check-in luggage, that helps.

Eventually there'll be a disaster, but will be prepared.

Got to say Palma airport was pretty impressive on the return trip to Manchester. Arrived at the airport early evening and it was very busy. We gave ourselves plenty of time for the inevitable queues. Went to security and got through in less than 10 minutes! They seem to have their staffing sorted.

Charleroi absolutely nailed it this morning. Pretty small airport, a lot of passengers, but loads of staff, all scanners working, absolute breeze. Food is pretty spot on and there's a terrace to watch the planes take off and land.

Just walked through Manchester to the Arndale for the first time in 10 years. What an absolute fucking shithole the centre has fallen into. Imagine that being what you see after a long flight, train and you've decided to come here for a holiday. Horrible.

Some tourists might like to see the spice heads..
