Didn't you already reply to that post once? What's up? Were you bored and thought you'd have another go at it?
Your post has typical Dave all over it, so I'll do you a favour and point out everything that is wrong with it so maybe we can get this drilled into your head this time around.
Bearing in mind you're as condescending as they come, there's an irony in there but I'll let it go.
I've said this numerous times in this thread myself.
I'm asking you to stop goading me
As I said, you have replied to the post again, who exactly is goading who?
who's not afraid to threaten to quit if you don't get your way
By "my way", I presume you mean walk away because there was a major difference between how long and short term posters were treated that I disagreed with and felt the need to take a stand on. I disagree with decisions every single day, I've talked of walking away once, because it was something I felt strongly about and still do. Also, you are taking above your level, you know the three sentences that I PM'ed to you and not the whole discussion that went around it.
or abuse your status as you proved last week,
I've never abused my status. You can justify this if you want by going through my posts and finding where you think I did this. You can ask a mod if you want because some threads are in the Mod Forum that you can't see on the search.
The crux of the matter is we disagree on whether Mancini is the Messiah
No it isn't, that's just the massively transparent strawman argument that you use to try and justify your own pitiful arguments. I don't think Mancini is the Messiah. I don't think any football manager is the Messiah. I don't think Mancini is immune from criticism and I often criticise him myself.
Everybody's argument with you is not even football related. It's related to the fact that, just like in this post, you use ad hominem attacks, logical fallacies, massive and glaring contradictions, strawmen arguments and downright lies to prove your opinion.
When you understand that, we can start talking football properly. For the record:
Where I think you fall down in your "thesis" above is that, whilst tactics are a part of football, it is ultimately a simple game played in the hearts and minds of the players on the field.
I couldn't disagree more, and it AGAIN I think this shows your complete lack of understanding of the game. Football hasn't been like this for a good 100 years, and even then it was debatable. Player motivation is absolutely important, and I'd be a fool to suggest otherwise, but you can have the most motivated team in the world and it will not substitute itself for a team that was superbly prepared and possess massive technical skill.
This is why City are 3rd and Blackpool aren't.
Football is nowhere near a simple game, it's a majorly complicated game with the 22 variables to consider fighting 11 different battles on the pitch at any one time, and each affects the sum of the whole in different ways. Football has the illusion of simplicity; it's simple to watch, but really not simple to play at any good level.
