Is our cycle of dominance coming to an end?

We really haven't 'dominated' - we've been 'the most successful' over that period, but it's hardly been a domination.

Absolutely this. We ended up miles behind a very ordinary rag team in 2012-13, and a long way behind Chelsea the second time they won it this decade.
Very confident about the future. This is now an extraordinarily well run club, which plans for the long term.
No, we will not walk the league every year, à la Bayern, Real or Barca. Nobody will, ever again, at least not in the EPL. We will have to fight, and sometimes we'll lose. In the meantime, we'll have to settle for the disappointing season of winning a cup and ending up second.

As much as it sounds nice to win year after year it will feel more satisfying and sweet to win back the title than just keep winning and winning.

media, referees etc... should have got the so called great story of that lot winning last year so we should have a more level playing field from that point of view this year.

having said that I agree with those that have said we will be reliant on that lot declining as much as we get better given the lack of improvement so far

Lets wait till the window is shut or even a bit of the season has past. We have gone from signing Messi KK and Aouar and a left back to signing no one in the eyes of some. Even if we get non of the ones mentioned before we will get players and it will all look very different

You would probably say that the three City players you mention there are , at present , 'international class' ...... as opposed to actual 'world class', where players such as Ronaldo constantly stand out.

KDB , on the other hand , would arguably get in ANY managers side, the world over , so he would probably fall into the 'world class' bracket ... as he 'constantly' stands out with his performances for both club and country.

Laporte cant get in the international squad.

Every heard of ‘typical city’ or ‘cityitis’ mate?
Or does other fans opinions not count if its not the same as yours.
Im being realistic

Im not expectant of sweeping anything. Im just saying I fully expect a challenging season, one we havent had for a while, based on where we stand now. Hopefully we perform and we do well again.

But I do not expect, if the same continues, to be anywhere near as dominant as we have been and we could easily fall below several teams such is what the prem is like.

Trying to gauge opinion and what anyone else thinks we need to do, longer term. But if you want to stick your head in the sand and tell yourself everything will be alright, be my guest.
Everything will be alright.

We don't have the team to dominate at the moment. In a year or two, with some savvy signings, maybe.
