Is our squad stronger or weaker than last year?

What do you think?

It has taken Jackie boy 12 months and that was ok by most on here , so don't expect much from Alvarez or Phillips, Haaland will rip this league apart for me if he keeps healthy.

Personally think we are stronger and more balanced, If we sign a LB.

3 players gone all for good money who no longer wanted to be here, and Fern, a wonderful servant but the last 2 seasons he has been a bit part player.

Haaland is the most exciting signing in our history for me, a genuine world class quality and still a kid.
more exciting than D Silva or YAYA or serg?

Purely on paper with individual stats we should be stronger.

But it’s a Pep-team. He makes his teams tick like a machine. The parts need to fit to get the other parts and therefore the whole machine going. And smoothly running. Some parts need to be replaced by parts either better or younger. When replaced the machine needs fine tuning again. No one better than Pep to do that.

Let’s just be patient and see how the machine works when it’s completely fine tuned. Not the first time we start slowly.

GK - Same
RB - Same
CBs - Same
LB - Slightly Weaker (no offence to zinny - but we're only slightly weaker until Cucurella)
DM - Stronger
CMs - Same
LW - Stronger (Grealish improvement incoming!)
RW - ?! Sterling was big for us despite the hate (he didn't play on the right as much as I would have liked!), I think this is up for debate
CF - Whats a word for fucking x10000 better?

At the moment the squad is weaker, but the first team is stronger, if that make sense.
Agree about the strength of the first team. Regarding the squad I have just seen a stat that we have sold players for 174 million pounds this summer...amazing.
