Joe was quite brilliant for years & that game at Wembley against Spuds in 81 will always stay with me because of how good Joe was that day, Spuds were never going to get past him, unfortunately for us Tommy Hutch helped them out a bit.

Harry Dowd was in goals when I first started watching City in '66, and I remember been told how he once broke a finger in a game, so he carried on at centre forward and scored - the opposite of what Quinn did. Not heroics of Trautmann proportions, but certainly an unusual event.

I was wondering if anyone else remembered Harry. Was he shorter or taller than SWP?

Arason never put a foot wrong -best triple save ever seen.
Corrigan best i've seen over time, given could be better. My dad said there was never anyone to touch Swifty the real cat.

I never saw Bert Trautman play it's before my time. Corrigan was amazing (his save against Leeds is probably the best save I've ever seen), and Tony Cotton was fantastic as well. Given is certainly in that bracket very impressed so far from what I've seen.
