Is Silva actually that good?

I seem to remember a fuss being made like this when we signed Negouai, I just hope I'm wrong
It's not fair to compare him to Negouai, too much to live up to.

If your a RAG:

Silva has only gone for the money, Little CITEH wil never do anything. There is no value in the transfer market. CITEH have no history so as said he has gone for the money

If your a supporter of any other football team:

City have got a gem of a player. It has only been this World Cup for reason we are not entiltled to know he is not starting for Spain. Silva is world class and Man City supporters will be so thankful they have signed him

THE BLUE REVOLUTION HAS STEPPED UP ANOTHER GEAR. WORSE THING IS WERE ONLY IN SECOND!!

just cant please some fans can we, how pathetic is this comment putting silva and negouai in the same cattegory get a grip and support some other team like the rags, every player we sign u always get someone complaining fuck me we will never win nothing with your support , its a dream getting silva compaired to the likes of gerry creaney and co.

Guillem Ballague was on 5 Live this morning saying until the World Cup Silva was a regular for Spain and that although Silva can be extremely good he is also inconsistent and (for some reason) players from his region of Spain don't tend to travel well. He will need time to settle in and patience will be required from the club and fans before we see him at his best... probably.

He could just fit right in and get off to a flyer though!

He is that good. I'll repeat what I said yesterday on the transfer thread: Silva is third in the Castrol Rankings of midfield players in Europe. Stats are everything but they are far from irrelevant. His number of goals and assists last season was good, as his Castrol Ranking would suggest.

He's still no Negouai though.

BlueMoonie wasn't comparing Silva to Negouai as footballers - he was comparing the response on Bluemoon, which was probably similar.

Personally I haven't seen enough of Silva to judge. My worry is that he isn't fast enough and is too feeble for the prem, but he's obviously a class act and hopefully he'll have the mental strength to succeed where robinho failed
