Is the Family Stand fit for Purpose?

Should move them up to Level 3. Has been a huge problem for years.
Huge problem?
There is literally nothing at City that's a huge problem,a few things may irritate some people but to think of the club close to bankruptcy where we've come from to where we are now and all we have to whinge about is incidentals like a few empty seats

As CBL3 is to remain closed for the cup semi final against Everton, Maybe the concern about empty seats should be re-directed to that stand.

Nothing wrong with the Family Stand. Great place and my kid loves it as do lots of other there. Been there for 5 years.

I don't take my lad to any night games unless it's school holidays. It's my season ticket and I should be able to do what I want with it. I do offer to upgrade it for mates. It would be great if the club just gave a free update.

I know people who moved with their kids to the new stand with the cheaper tickets and they are not having the best experience there due to the language, aggresion and the view. Their kids have felt intimidated and not really enjoying the games. They are now trying to move back to the family stand.

Was it really cheaper to move to SS3 than stay in the North stand?

I've said already on this thread, the club shouldn't sell kids tickets for anyother part of the ground, especially seasoncards when the North stand desert is there for them.

doomed for failure from the start, far too big. Reduce it in size/keep it to the top tier only.
Yes I agree - that new extension to the SS is far too big.......I sit in the family stand with my kids and all I can see if loads of blue seats in the 'adult' section of the SS stand on Saturday afternoon and night games. We always stay to the end in the family stand so I can see this. There are as many blue seats in both stands at the final whistle. The club is investing for the future ffs so there are bound to be empty seats as families juggle between school. kids parties, after school activities and footy. Based on the evidence that I can see reducing that size of the FS will make fuck all difference to the number of empty seats in the ground. Adults would buy season tickets then come out with the 'well I was working...I always miss matches due to holidays....I wanted to go but me mates didn't bollocks'. Think about the wider picture and where the future fan base is. We could always do a Fulham, reduce the size of the FS and let the day trippers in from god knows where with a neutral section (this would work really well when Everton turn up for the LC semi in a couple of weeks- loads of pissed up scousers near the FS). Keep the FS as it is......

Yeh let's close the Family Stand and the team can play in front of an empty stadium. I really don't see the point of this thread. The club having to discount the price of tickets of certain games (Everton and Palace) and some supporters on here want to alienate one of their core income streams!

That is a feable excuse ,why buy a ticket if you have no intention of going .I have yet to see it full this season even on a Saturday it looks embarrassing and with 10 min to go it is almost deserted .it is far to big and I think the size should be reduced

empty seats in the Ronald McDonald stand can be because people by a ticket for their kid that might or might not want to attend each home game but they have the ticket to avoid not being able to get one in the future, or, as with my Nephew, he goes to every game with his Dad but chooses to stand in the South Stand with his Grandparents but his NS seat will be empty. I'm sure they aren't the only ones in that situation.

You'd be surprised - there are plenty of season card holders around where I sit that either don't attend every game or simply don't occupy their seat

I agree, I certainly don't think we should give the away team the chance to kick towards their fans in the 2nd half.

Like that makes a difference. I think you'll find that we have scored the majority of goals at home in the 2nd half whilst attacking the Family Stand in the last 5 seasons. It must be all that pushing from the South Stand eh?
