Is there any way back into fans’ hearts for Cancelo?

People on here presuming that they know exactly what happened, exactly what was said. We don't. We just don't.
He was never in my heart particularly, so it's not a question of that. He's a skilled player, and he played some important games for us. Many, in fact. If he came back contrite, with a different attitude, and made that clear, I'd certainly be willing to see him at the club again. No question about it. On the other hand, if we could get a decent price for him, one commensurate with his ability, I'd be happy with that, too.

Don't forget him celebrating when the Viking missed from the spot, the guy is poisonous, get rid.

I don’t know Cancelo, don’t know what happened behind the scenes just know I loved him on the pitch and don’t think he did anything to upset me. If pep keeps him I hold no hard feelings towards him so he is still in my heart.

Regardless of this side-show, or even his footballing ability, we now actually have defenders who can defend. Without this we're not winning the CL. Great footballer, not a great defender, crap attitude & has burnt his bridges. The only way is down when leaving City - if only he'd realised.

Just on a footballing level prefer Ake, a guy who can defend. We have other creative players further upfield so don’t need Cancelo for that.
Agreed.
He'd easily be forgiven if he came back and was.... diligent, motivated, a team player, positive body language, physical in his play.
But he ain't any of those. We've got better players.

Well said. The voice of reason.

Nobody will give a shit if he comes back into the team and starts playing well, everyone soon forgave Tevez going to play golf for half a season. I see no chance of Pep letting him back into the fold anyway though.
