Is there any way back into fans’ hearts for Cancelo?

I think we’ve outgrown him and him playing would be a step backwards for the team. We thrive in the four CBs formation given all of them are comfortable on the ball and better defensively.

And it allows the rest of the team to have attacking freedom - just look at Grealish.

It’s no surprise our season kickstarted into unheard levels of quality when he went.

Personally hope he goes and doesn’t come back in, not particularly a slant against him as a personality (although…), more as a player and what he offers.

Think a lot of people in this thread have misunderstood the question. It's not "Will Cancelo find a way back into the fans' hearts?", it's "Is there any way back?", etc. etc. There is a way back for Cancelo. If he starts the first five games of next season and plays well he'll be welcomed back by all of us with open arms, just as Tevez and Barton once did.

I am sure that Pep's reasons for letting him go were pretty significant and wasn't the idea that he would stay at BM at an agreed price if all worked out there, which to me means he wasn't part of our plans going forward. Felt sorry for the lad when he was assaulted by villains in his home and he carried on playing immediately after that with seemingly little effect on his performance. Think the page has been turned

IF the cancelo of the season before turns up, with a better attitude, I'm sure he would be welcomed back. Can't see it myself though and I think we will just end up sending him on loan somewhere.

If he works hard in training, chills the fuck out with his attitude and starts performing again on the pitch. Would we the fans ever have him back in the good books again? Or did he burn his bridges?

This is all caveated with whether or not Pep/management will forget the past and let him stay and he wants to

I'll add, personally I wouldn't want him back. At the very core of what has taken us to elite level under Pep is that no player is bigger or more important than the team, and that team spirit is everything. We cannot risk anyone or anything that could ruin that. Cancelo is a risk
No he can fuck off.

“Get me out of this fucking club”, the **** being paid £150k per week said on the phone to his agent surrounded by team mates, support staff and a few members of the press. All because he wasn’t starting a game, despite playing more minutes than 70% of the squad at that point.

So fuck off you slapped arse faced ****.

For all his talent he's a cancer in the team and it's no coincidence that our form normalised once he fucked off.

It's also no coincidence Jack Grealish finally turned into a player immediately upon him leaving.

Mommy Bless Him.
