Is there any way back into fans’ hearts for Cancelo?

Of course there is. He said nothing publicly. As far as the average fan knows, he had a falling out with pep over playing time and was sent out on loan missing a treble winning campaign. other than the sense of disappointment in him bailing mid season, there's nothing there to forgive. What did or didn't happen behind the scenes is completely irrelevant if Pep decides to integrate him back into the side. if pep is satsified then we have zero reasons not to get behind him as much as anyone else.

Let’s have this right - he disrespected the club and manager and fellow professionals. Therefore, he has no respect for us fans either.

Whilst all that might be true, someone who has found out he's been wrong, has missed out on the biggest trophy of his life, wants to be part of the club.. that person is going to want to redeem himself


Pep might even test that redemption. But I think Cancelo might just come back more determined.

And of course, he's really good.

Cancelo leaving and allowing grealish to become a superstar was one of the reasons after Dec we won the treble, horrendous full back and had a 3 month purple patch as some sort of attacker certainly not a defender

Maybe Cancelo is being allowed back into the squad to help keep Bernardo happy, sure I heard Bernardo say he was close to Cancelo in an interview last year.

We, as fans just don't know what he wants. Unless he states his wishes publicly.
