Is this the worst take you’ve seen regarding City?

I love this thread. So much gold. Caught this earlier. Nigel is surrounded by two absolute twats. My broken clock is right twice a day more than the two flanking dolts. Literally everything they say is wrong looking back. Hilarious.

I very much agree with all comments, there is very much an agenda against our club. My feeling is that the media, SKY,BT,the press all work on the premis of profit. Most of the UK press is owned by Rothermere,Murdoch and Desmond. They each have their own agendas and do get involved in editorial issues. There are probably racial issues at play too. United and Liverpool will always be the media darlings due to the fact that (for now) have a bigger fanbase and they will always get better coverage. SKY, are owned by Americans (Comcast) and I would imagine close links with Fenway and Glazers as they have US based sports teams under their umbrellas. BT again just wish to appease the majority which is why you see Neville, Keane, Souness etc regularly.Thank heavens for Micah.
There is an approach called the Framing Effect that the media use. They will not say how great City are, but will say how poor Liverpool were in the recent match, as it gets more clicks, more readers. We have been so good that they cant just keep complementing us, they have to spin negative stories (eg FFP) to get more readers or clicks. Hence the negatives we see. Sadly it is all about money, reporter prestige, and not about how well we have done and how much the local community has benefited.
Comcast also owns NBC who is remarkably non-partisan and has Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe and Danny Higginbottom in studio — all of whom are measured and thoughtful and come across as impartial, at least to me. The in-match announcers vary (though we get Tyler) and tend to lean red which is irritating but they don’t seem quite as awful as what you lot over there have. I don’t even watch ESPN footy commentary anymore — they were absolutely awful so I stopped tuning in.

See, I don’t understand this point. 85% of the football fans in this country despise United and Liverpool. It makes no sense the media pandering to them because, even together, they total a little minority of the football fraternity.

No, plenty of you assholes wanted Pep gone in the fall. Far worse take.
I’m not sure “plenty” is the right word (neither are assholes and fall, by the way!); there were literally only a few daft fuckers posting on here and next to nobody in the real world.

But none of them posted with an agenda like these press and pundit folk. They were just panicking about our worst football for years and didn’t see a way out.
