Can anyone remember how the table looked the Hughes was fired?

Well by my reckoning we are in a better position now than then.

We are 1 point clear in 4th with a game in hand.

With Hughes we would likely get 2 draws and 1 loss in 3 games, now we are looking at 2 wins and 1 loss as a minimum (league games BTW).

By the end of the next 3 league games we may well be 5 points clear in 4th with a game in hand.

So yes, top six wont be good enough.

And to finish 4th we will need to pick up points from Liverpool, Tottenham, Rags at home, Chelsea, Arsenal away.

Forgot Villa at home, thats 6 games we need to get a decent return

If our manager can sort his act out quickly, it's entirely feasible we could win those three home games. If he carries on like this it's feasable we'd get nothing from all those games.

I'm not seeing much to convince me the former is the more likely at the moment.
