This must have been said before, but Isco would be a better replacement for Pogba these days.

He's no longer a 10, or attacking modfielder, he's been transformed by ancelotti into a proper all action central midfielder, who obviously learnt a lot from Modric.

He played as a CM pairing with Kroos for long parts of last season because Modric was injured and he did all of the defensive work, really put himself about the pitch.

He would be absolutely perfect in a midfield 3 with Fernandinho and Yaya. Similar to how Garcia played there in preseason.

He definitely would NOT fit in the front 3, so calling him a replacement for De Bruyne would be wrong.

Don't back out on DeBruyne, unless they are asking for too much money.

If we get Isco with money from signings etc (including maybe Nasri) fair enough, but DeBruyne is absolute variety, we don't have anyone like him. Isco is more of the same, in a different package.
Totally agree. DeBruyne would give us different options whereas Isco is more in the Silva, Nasri mould.

Our only hope is that Real Madrid buy another world class midfielder and then Isco might become available.
