So footballing wise, what's the difference between him and Nasri?

Nasri has in my mind always been an incredibly smart protector of the ball. He holds onto it brilliantly, he picks or passes that won't lose the ball, he shoots from close range. He pulls strings and unpicks the lock.

Isco takes a few more risks. He's got flair and flicks and tricks. He'll take more risks in the last third and shoot from 25 yards if left free.

He's faster than Nasri, more aggressive, his workrate is Tevez like and in defence he will chase a player who takes the ball off him until he gets it back.

Nasri is quite refined, precise smooth and controlled.

Isco is off the cuff, a bit rock and roll, unpredictable. Like a puppy.

I think they'd play together brilliantly if they ever got the chance. Can't see Nasri staying though if Isco comes.

I honestly don't think it's to replace anyone it's more that it looks like a proposition too good to turn down. As far as the other positions are concerned we will shake up our centre midfield and defence in the summer but unless we sign someone like the 1 of the 3 at Barca we won't sign a striker, pep never has multiple first team strikers but instead uses players from wide position's to compensate.

How has he developed since his first season at Madrid? I remember everyone saying he's the next Iniesta/Silva etc. Also, how does he compare to Thiago, who Pep's a known fan of.

Sorry but that's spoken like someone who has never seen the boy play. He is an incredibly hard worker, Tevez like in his workrate, and he does loads of tracking back, especially when played in central midfield when he takes on loss of defensive responsibilities and sticks to them.

Your post is complete bollocks.
Absolute crap. I've seen him play plenty of times he's another Nasri type player. Real Madrid are looking to get rid.

If anyone thinks he is a defensive midfielder and will be able to compete in the premier league I'm afraid you haven't got a clue about football and need to get down to the Manchester Giants instead.

Not really been following this thread as Isco is linked every single window. What has happened to suggest we're genuinely close to signing him? Or is it just the usual bollocks? And if somehow the interest is genuine, how the hell do we fit him in a squad that has a full foreign quota?
