Not really been following this thread as Isco is linked every single window. What has happened to suggest we're genuinely close to signing him? Or is it just the usual bollocks? And if somehow the interest is genuine, how the hell do we fit him in a squad that has a full foreign quota?

Ric and Mcrjon and now that Raffael bloke on Twitter are saying we're in for him at an advanced stage

How has he developed since his first season at Madrid? I remember everyone saying he's the next Iniesta/Silva etc. Also, how does he compare to Thiago, who Pep's a known fan of.

He had a fantastic 14/15 season but has struggled this season, it's hard to tell whether it's Isco's own fault he's struggling though or if it's Benitez's fault as a lot of Real Madrid players have been underperforming this season. At the moment I'd say Thiago is the better player of the two, but last season I rated them about equal.

Appreciate the reply. Not going to get excited about this though until i see him on the website in a City shirt, if for no other reason than there not being a space for him in the squad and there not being any deadweight we can ship out to make space for him.

We need a new back six as the one we have is garbage and are being overrun every week by shite teams.

Id only keep Aguero and Silva.

Sterling is shite , KDB albeit his passing can be fantastic gives the ball away too much and again in big games disappears. Yaya lazy git. Fernandinho has some good moments but the guy switches of several times in a match. Bony is not good enough clearly. Kolorov is another one who thinks he's better than he is and also switches off in games.

Mangala is shocking and we should cut our losses very quickly.

I'd give Otamendi a bit of time as I think with the right players he would be a good leader.

Sorry to piss on everyone's parade but there has been a lot of money spunked away, we should be walking this league.

And before anyone says I'm a Jonny come lately I have had a season ticket since 1987.

No bleeding Isco. Sick of wasting good money.

He has grown a lot physically at Madrid and because of that causes teams even more problems, also he is more like Iniesta than anyone I have ever seen and Thiago is more of a Xavi so they actually work really well together as a posed to an either or
